REGISTERED ICELANDIC SHEEP

Twisted K Ranch chose to add Icelandic sheep—often called “Viking sheep”—to our property for their versatility, hardiness, and exceptional product value. First, Icelandics are known for their resilience and ability to thrive in diverse climates, making them low-maintenance and well-suited for our ranch environment. Second, they offer a premium dual-coated fleece prized by fiber artists for both its softness and durability. Third, Icelandic sheep provide high-quality, flavorful meat, making them an excellent choice for both breeding and market production. Beginning in fall 2026, we will offer registered breeding stock for $650 per lamb, USDA-processed meat, as well as fleece and beautifully tanned hides. Lambs or meat can be booked with a $100 deposit. Starter flocks (2 ewe lambs and one ram lamb from separate genetics) can be bundled together for $1,650. If you are interested in learning about their maintenance, health, and general care please reach out!
